Part-Time: This will be a 20-hour/week role.
Work times would be flexible, but most likely during EST, like 8-12 or the 2nd half of the day.
Given the right candidate and a little planning on how to manage communications, we could consider another time slot for a special candidate.
Start Date: The tentative start date would be in 30 days.
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Citrix Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting and optimizing multiple client environments utilizing Citrix DaaS (Cloud Control Plane) with on-premises resource locations. This role operates within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) model and is accountable for maintaining stability, performance, security, and availability across diverse customer infrastructures.
The position requires strong Citrix expertise combined with broad infrastructure knowledge and the ability to manage multiple tenants in a structured, SLA-driven environment.
JOB ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Citrix Administration (Multi-Client)
Administer Citrix DaaS environments across multiple customer tenants
Manage Machine Catalogs, Delivery Groups, policies, and session configurations
Maintain Cloud Connectors (availability, patching, lifecycle management)
Troubleshoot logon delays, performance degradation, and application delivery issues
Coordinate Citrix upgrades and version alignment across clients
Infrastructure & Resource Management
Support on-prem resource locations (VMware, Nutanix AHV, Hyper-V)
Monitor VDA health, storage performance, and hypervisor capacity
Manage profile solutions (FSLogix, Citrix Profile Management)
Maintain AD integration, DNS, file services, and print services
Provide capacity planning recommendations aligned with client growth
Security & Compliance
Maintain secure remote access via Citrix Gateway Service or on-prem ADC
Support MFA integrations and zero-trust initiatives
Apply security patches to VDAs and Cloud Connectors
Assist clients with audit readiness and security remediation
Monitoring, SLA & Client Communication
Monitor availability and user experience metrics
Respond to incidents and service requests within SLA targets
Perform root cause analysis and document corrective actions
Maintain client-facing documentation and runbooks
Participate in change management and CAB processes
Business Continuity
Support DR design and periodic failover testing
Ensure redundancy of Cloud Connectors and resource locations
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required Qualifications
5+ years of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops administration
Experience with Citrix DaaS (Citrix Cloud control plane)
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, AD, and Group Policy
Experience with enterprise virtualization platforms
Proven troubleshooting experience in multi-user virtual environments
Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously in an SLA-driven setting
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in MSP or multi-tenant environments
Citrix ADC / NetScaler experience
PowerShell scripting and automation
Familiarity with RMM and PSA tools
Experience supporting 500+ concurrent users

Server-Specific/NetScaler Tasks/Skills:
Deep Windows Server experience
Active Directory & Group Policy expertise
RDS / multi-session Windows experience
Profile management (FSLogix, roaming profiles)
File servers, print servers
SQL (at least functional familiarity)
