Position Title: Electrical Estimator – Commercial, Renewable & EV Infrastructure
Work Set-up: WFH or Hybrid
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM – 4:00 PM PH Time
Salary:60K to 70k (with 3+ yrs experience)


About the Role

• The Electrical Estimator is responsible for delivering accurate, commercially sound cost estimates across commercial electrical, renewable energy and EV infrastructure projects.
• This role manages full tender cycles from quantity take-off through submission and project handover to ensure bids are competitive, compliant and profitable.
• The position requires strong technical electrical knowledge, estimating software proficiency, and a clear understanding of construction methodology, procurement strategy and risk management.

Key Responsibilities – Commercial & Industrial Electrical Estimating
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for office fit-outs, retail, hospitality, warehouses and industrial facilities.
• Estimate switchboard upgrades, lighting, power and data installations.
• Interpret electrical drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Price labour, materials, plant, subcontractors and compliance costs.
• Document inclusions, exclusions and assumptions clearly.

Renewable Energy & Electrification Estimating

• Solar PV – rooftop and ground mount systems, inverters, DC cabling, grid connection works.
• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) – HV/LV integration, switchgear and commissioning.
• EV Charging Infrastructure – AC/DC chargers, load management, network upgrades and civil interfaces.
• Identify risks such as network approvals, capacity constraints and commissioning complexity.

Quantity Take-Off & Measurement

• Perform detailed take-offs from electrical and civil drawings.
• Measure cable routes, containment systems and equipment schedules.
• Review architectural drawings for constructability.
• Identify scope gaps and produce structured take-off summaries.
• Utilise Groundplan, Bluebeam and Simpro effectively.

Supplier & Subcontractor Engagement

• Obtain and compare supplier pricing.
• Engage specialist subcontractors.
• Negotiate pricing where appropriate.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships.
Commercial Review & Risk Management
• Review tender conditions and contractual requirements.
• Identify commercial risks and apply contingencies.
• Support bid strategy and margin recommendations.
• Prepare documentation for tender submission.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as an Electrical Estimator.
• Experience in commercial electrical construction.
• Experience estimating Solar, BESS and EV infrastructure projects.
• Electrical trade background or equivalent industry experience.
• Proficient in Simpro and Groundplan.
