This is a founding-team engineering opportunity at an early-stage agentic integration platform built for the real economy. Specialized AI agents gather requirements in plain English, generate integration code, test it, deploy it, and keep it running in production — autonomously. As one of the first engineers, you'll own core systems end-to-end alongside the founders and set the engineering foundation that every future hire builds upon.
This is not a chatbot or a thin LLM wrapper. The agents do actual work with actual consequences in production: multi-agent orchestration, a durable execution runtime (think mini-Vercel for integrations), self-healing systems, and a knowledge base that gets smarter with every integration shipped.
Own core systems end-to-end — agent platform, cloud infrastructure, and the integrations runtime, from conception through production.
Set the engineering patterns — define the architecture, standards, and best practices that every future engineer inherits.
Ship constantly — work directly alongside the founders, deploying to production frequently and iterating fast.
Shape the entire system — your decisions in year one will define how the platform scales technically and organizationally.
Required:
Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, Bun, Effect-TS, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and AWS
Proven track record shipping and owning end-to-end production systems
Experience designing engineering patterns and best practices at an organizational level
Solid background in infrastructure, deployment, and runtime systems — including monitoring, reliability, and self-healing capabilities
Comfort working directly with founders in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
Ability to work on-site in San Francisco
Nice to Have:
Background in agent orchestration or multi-agent system design
Experience with durable execution frameworks or workflow engines
Prior experience as an early or founding engineer at a startup
Salary: $150,000 – $250,000 per year, depending on experience
Equity participation as an early team member
Visa sponsorship available
On-site in San Francisco, CA, United States
This is a full-time, in-person role — remote work is not available
Be cautious! Do not send money to a potential employer. Do not pay any money for a potential contract of employment or for pre-employment training.
