Overview

We’re hiring an Associate‑level Information Technology Asset Management Associate to support the tracking, governance, and financial oversight of the firm’s hardware, software, cloud services, and related digital assets. This role helps maintain accurate inventory, supports budgeting processes, and ensures license compliance across the organization.

Responsibilities

Software Asset Management

- Process software invoices, validate charge codes, and route items for approval.

- Track software licenses, entitlements, and renewals to ensure compliance.

- Maintain the software catalog and license documentation.

- Support SaaS spend analysis and usage optimization.

 

Hardware Asset Management

- Update and maintain asset records for laptops, network devices, peripherals, and other IT equipment.

- Assist in hardware lifecycle tracking from procurement to retirement.

- Ensure assets are tagged, assigned, and documented according to internal standards.

- Support the service desk and operations teams with accurate configuration data.

 

Budgeting & Financial Support

- Prepare reports on asset spending, planned vs. actual variance, and monthly projections.

- Assist with annual budgeting for IT hardware, software, and services.

- Partner with Finance to ensure accurate tracking and reconciliation of IT asset costs.

 

Compliance, Governance & Reporting

- Maintain accurate asset data to support internal audits and compliance efforts.

- Follow ITAM policies, governance frameworks, and lifecycle standards.

- Generate recurring asset, cost, and compliance reports for leadership.

 

Cross‑Functional Coordination

- Work with IT operations, procurement, security, and service desk teams on asset accuracy and process improvements.

- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve licensing or asset discrepancies.

Qualifications

- 1–3 years of experience in IT Asset Management, procurement, financial operations, or related fields.

- Understanding of software licensing basics and IT asset lifecycle principles.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workload streams.

- Proficiency with Excel or other reporting tools.

- Experience with asset management platforms such as ServiceNow Asset Management or SaaS management tools.

- Familiarity with ITIL, IAITAM, or ISO‑aligned practices.

- Exposure to budgeting or financial analysis in an IT environment.

 

The base salary range for this position is $33.65 - 38.45 per hour. Please note this position is non-exempt and therefore eligible for overtime, which will be paid in addition to the published base salary range.  This salary range is benchmarked toward the San Jose, California market and can be adjusted for higher matching experience.
