Role
The Operations Associate (Deal Term Analytics) will work within Octus’ Deal Term Analytics team and be based in our Bogotá office. The role is ideal for someone who has graduated university and is interested in learning within the financial services, legal and/or data sectors. It will appeal to an enthusiastic person with a strong attention to detail, who has a desire to learn and thrives in a growing and dynamic environment.
This is a critical role supporting the coverage of Octus’ Deal Term Analytics product, which is the data backbone of Octus’ covenant analysis services.
Responsibilities
Tracking the syndicated loan and high yield bond primary markets using multiple proprietary data feeds
Review deal documentation to identify key features
Create database records for new transactions
Ensure strict adherence to compliance processes related to private documents
Permission entitled clients to private information
Maintain records of market coverage
Partner with Octus’ covenant operations team and legal analysts to minimize Deal Term Analytics’ time-to-data.
Collaborate with commercial team to provide excellent client service
Liaise with offshore data team and London/USA teams on workflow and data initiatives, when required
Collaborate on and lead various administrative and operational projects
Requirements
Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to manage and manipulate large data sets in spreadsheets
Ability to write professionally in English
Interest in financial services and/or legal subjects, and data management
Proactive and collaborative team player
Ability to prioritize effectively among multiple tasks and work effectively to client deadlines
University degree or equivalent qualification
Authorized to work in the country in which the position is based
