We are seeking an experienced Lead/Senior UX Designer to guide UX design practices across the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) cluster. This is a strategic role that requires both hands-on design expertise and the ability to lead cross-ministry initiatives, working with senior stakeholders across multiple projects and teams.
8+ years of progressive UX/UI design experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead capacity
Proven track record of leading design initiatives across multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated experience working with senior stakeholders and C-level executives
Experience in government, enterprise, or large-scale organizational settings is highly preferred
Portfolio demonstrating product thinking, strategic leadership, design process, and measurable impact
Experience with design research methodologies and usability testing tools
Expert proficiency in design tools
Strong understanding of responsive design, design systems, and component libraries
Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS) and ability to collaborate effectively with developers
Exceptional presentation and communication skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels
Experience facilitating design workshops, critique sessions, and collaborative design activities
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build consensus and drive alignment
Ability to mentor and develop design talent while establishing a culture of design excellence
Strategic thinking with ability to translate business objectives into user-centered design solutions
Work across multiple concurrent projects with ITG teams
Collaborate with vendors and external partners on various ministry systems
Interface regularly with stakeholders from different ministry divisions including policy, operations, and technology teams
Projects span citizen-facing applications, case management systems, content management platforms, and data analytics tools
