The Role - Software Engineer (Video Player) 

You’ll be responsible for building, maintaining, and hardening our video player, with a strong focus on playback performance, rendering, integrations, and overall viewer experience. 

You’ll also contribute to broadcast augmentation features and the development tools used by our content team. Over time, there will be opportunities to expand your impact into our video processing pipeline and our content and augmentation engines. 

What you will use day to day 

You should expect to work in JavaScript and Rust almost every day, with some tasks needing other languages. The balance shifts by task (browser and player code, transcoder and augmentation-related tooling, API). You will predominantly work around video and augmentation

Qualifications:

You should meet at least one of the following: 

• Experience with lower-level software development, or

• Experience with video, ideally in the browser (for example streaming, timing, latency, encrypted playback), or

• Experience with three-dimensional or games graphics, ideally in the browser.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Streaming or transcoding experience

• Sport graphics

• Automated quality assurance for media content
